Travel through a world of emotion and elegance in this intimate concert featuring exquisite string trios from Vienna, Paris, and beyond.

🏆 Performed by a trio of award-winning musicians, this programme brings together some of the most beautiful and heartfelt chamber music ever written.

The concert also features special guest artist Bethany Argyle (alto saxophone 🎷) who will join the string trio for a few bonus works!

MUSICIANS

Justin Hodges is a violinist whose talent was recognised early when he was awarded an Associate Diploma from Trinity College London at just 12 years old. A gifted soloist and chamber musician, he has earned national acclaim through numerous performances and competitions, consistently praised for his musical maturity and expressive depth. A graduate of Christ’s College, Christchurch, Justin was a distinguished recipient of the school’s prestigious music scholarship, where he refined his craft under elite mentorship.

Indiana Bell has established herself as a dynamic soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral leader. She currently serves as Principal Second Violin of the 2025 New Zealand National Youth Orchestra and Concertmaster of the Christchurch Youth Orchestra. A graduate of the Specialist Music Programme at Burnside High School, Indiana has been recognised with top scholarships and has built a thriving private teaching studio, celebrated for inspiring excellence and artistry in the next generation of violinists.

Ingrid Kosaka was selected as a featured soloist for the NZSO Young Soloists Showcase at the age of 15, which culminated in a performance with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra under the baton of internationally renowned conductor James Judd. In 2021, she was invited as a guest soloist for a national concert tour with the Baroque Music Community and Educational Trust of New Zealand, performing Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Cellos alongside acclaimed baroque cellist Tomas Hurnik. Ingrid also brings orchestral experience through her performances with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.

Guest Artist

Bethany Argyle has been playing the saxophone since the age of nine and is recognised as one of Otago’s most promising young musicians. At ten, she received a saxophone scholarship from Turn Up The Music Trust, and later won the Q92 FM Award for Most Promising Musician in 2022 before being named Best Saxophonist at the renowned Southland Jazz Festival in 2023. In 2025, her jazz combo won the Southern Jam Youth Jazz Festival, where she was also selected as a saxophonist for the acclaimed All-Stars Band.
